52 Weeks of Color Goldenrod

I'm slowly making my way though the challenge. Goldenrod is the 3rd challenge and I thought for sure I had nothing in goldenrod. So I typed it in search and surprisingly I had several items pop up, one of them being this cute little party dress from everyone's most beloved store Last Call. I think this was a group gift at some point but not really sure. As you can see it is a cute classic little dress and it came with few other colors as well. I absolutely love the back with the lace-up detail.








I went with a bit more dramatic makeup tone and hair color than I usually wear. I thought the blondes and paler lip tones looked too washed out and just didn't do the dress justice. Besides I just love the red lips of this skin absolutely perfect.

52 Weeks of Color-Blue

Its the 2nd week of color, I wasnt sure if I should have gone with different shades of blue but when I did my search this outfit popped up. It was given to me by a very dear friend that I unfortunately am no longer that close with. So the color plays into my emotions at the moment.

52 Weeks of Color-Grey

I am way behind in doing this but I figured why not I need something to give my SL a bit of life so here it is. I did a search for GREY in my inventory and not surprising I had quite a few things. I chose this suit since I had never actually worn it. It was a gift at some point in time from Hoorenbeek and its pretty awesome for a free suit. Tons of options including a skirt layer too.
I felt a suit needed a better location than just my makeshift photo studio so I went to the ultimate office, The Oval Office. Don't you think I look like I belong there. I'm sure the day will come when we will see a woman behind that desk.

LOTW 1

Something new to try LOTW (Look Of The Week). Everyone seems to do a look of the day and since I'm kind of lazy in the blogging thing I thought why not a Look Of The Week. I'm big on sales lately since I no longer am SL employed. Most of this look is from FLF or freebies and group gifts.








So the skirt from Shai is in the lovely shade of Blackberry and I don't think I have taken it off since last week ( I know ewwww LOL). The Blouse is from W&B another FLF and looks great with this skirt. It has some really cute flowy cap sleeves but I left them off to throw on this cute little bolero from G Fields. The pumps are another FLF find from Kookie they have some wonderful shoes. And as usual I am wearing one of the fabulous skins from Exodi this one is Lily v2. I don't think Ryker has made a skin I don't like. Also the wonderful invention of lash tattoos from Stellar no more struggling with prim lashes /me wipes her brow. My eyes are from PXL and the closest I have found to my natural eye color. The hair was a group gift I had just recieved from Magika and it has some great options like letting you change colors and mix shades.

I'd like to throw out a big Thank You to Fross Maruti and his great free photo studio. Not that I am any great SL photog by any stretch of the imagination but its nice to have a place to go that has all the bells and whistles to use.

Random Fashion # 2

Ok this isn't really random its one of the new releases from Apple May Designs. And I'll have to admit I may be a bit partial seeing as I work for Apple as a Customer Service Rep, damn this girl has some talent! This new release is Finger Print and is a cute wintery jacket and skirt. It comes in four colors, Pink, Sky, Deep Beige and Lime. The jacket has a hood(which I chose not wear) and falls from the waist into a nice flouncy hemline. It has a nice deep neckline but it doesn't feel like you are on display. The skirt is billowly, with a whispy hemline and faint flowery details. It looks so pretty as you walk around SL.





I also added to the look the Sloppy Pearls from Apple May's as well. They seemed to fall just right with the jacket.I chose to pair it with the Danielle boots in pink from Pixel Mode. I just love these boots from the front they are sleek and form fitting and in the back a sweet bow detail.

Random Fashion Look # 1

So I'm back and just gonna blog some random fashion looks I'm throwing together. I threw this together last night and though it was pretty cute. Something I maybe would wear in Rl too. A nice cozy sweater and jeans with a pair of cozy fluffy boots. Perfect for a cold New England night.

Most of this outfit is composed of group gifts. I can't thank the designers enough for those. They put so much work into them. Just look at the detail of this ring from Callie Cline normally I'm not a big ring person in SL but I love this one, eye catching with out being gaudy or blingy. Huge plus in my book.

Why?

OK, so this isn't about fashion. I don't know when I'll get creative enough to do more than post whatever is bugging me at the moment. But I figure this is a good place to vent my feelings and frustrations without hurting those that it is possibly about.

My first rant or vent or whatever is about my ex. I really hate that I still miss him. I don't want to. I don't want to still think about him. I hate that I still look for him to come on line, that I look for an e-mail that just says hello. I mean people who say that they are your friend send e-mails occasionally. It could be that it is just a bit of nostalgia, today is the day he came back after a short absence. And it was such a good day. I know deep down that he probably isn't the man I thought he was, and that makes me sad. I guess I just expect more from people, from someone that you spent so much time with, that you share so many details of your life with. I guess I just miss having that certain someone.

My other rant and it is a rant is about people who want to become part of your sl life so quickly. I like spending time with all kinds of people in sl. Go to different clubs, shop, have some quality one on one time if you know what I mean. Why do some people feel the need to attatch so quickly? In the 3 years I have been in sl I have had one long term partnered relationship that lasted a year and a half. We clicked and it worked for us. Before that I had friends that I was involved with but nothing like this new person. In one day its lets be together totally exclusive. I think its sweet but borders on the clingy. I can't sign on with out an instant IM. And I don't like to do it but I had to lie just to get some alone time. I'm afraid that I may end up having to mute him seeing as explaining that I don't want that type of relationship doesn't seem to slow the IM's as of yet. I hate to mean to people especially people who seem so sweet but I hope I don't have to but I may end up being the bitch.
